UMPIRES  it was unanimously agreed that umpires fees should increase. The new figures are:

  • one umpire standing receives £24 (£12 per team)
  • two umpires standing: each receives £16.

All umpires will be called to a meeting when appointments for all fixtures will be confirmed. Any changes from the original appointments should be resolved by the umpire and the nominated team representative (captain). The latest time for change is 5pm on the match day but it is hoped that in the event of a change in arrangements notification will be as early as possible. Should no umpires be available for a match umpires will be nominated from those people available (see League rule 78). Additionally, the nominated umpires must sign the match cards and forward them to Geoff Gilbert as soon as is convenient to do so.

ECB have circulated further rules and regulations regarding the standardisation of disciplinary and other regulations which the committee will digest before passing to teams.
