APOLOGIES FROM CHRIS PARKES

HANDBOOKS: A TECHNICAL HITCH DELAYED THEIR DISTRIBUTION AT THE MARCH MEETING. THEY WERE PACKAGED THIS EVENING TOGETHER WITH A RULE BOOK AND THE TEAM UMPIRE LIABILITY CARDS. IF THEY ARE NOT BEING DELIVERED THEY WILL BE AT WVCC FOR COLLECTION

FINANCE: IT WAS AGREED TO COVER THE TREASURER’S EXPENSES IN HIS DEALINGS WITH THE POSTAL SERVICE. THE CURRENT BALANCE IS £1900 WITH THE DEPOSIT REMAINING AT £1800.

LYE ARE TO BE FINED THE STATUTARY £20 FOR THE NON-APPEARANCE AT THE MARCH GENERAL MEETING, HOWEVER AS A NEW TEAM THE POINTS LOSS WILL BE NOT IMPOSED.

THE TREASURER PROVIDED THE MEETING WITH HIS MODIFIED EXPENDITURE FORECAST.

SEASON ISSUES: WERE MAINLY CONCERNED WITH THE COLD WET WEATHER AND THE POSSIBLE KNOCK-ON EFFECT THIS WILL HAVE IF THE COUNTY SWITCH THEIR FIXTURES TO KIDDERMINSTER. WEST HAGLEY 10×10 FIXTURE HAS BEEN DELAYED BY 6 DAYS.

UMPIRES: HAVE ATTENDED THE REQUIRED TRAINING COURSES RELATING TO THE NEW RULES WITH THE EXCEPTION OF TWO WHO ARE DUE TO ATTEND A MEETING IN HEREFORD. PLACING UMPIRES IS ALWAYS A CHALLENGE BUT IT IS EXPECTED THERE TO BE AT LEAST ONE UMPIRE PER GAME

A.O.B.: IT WAS HOPED THAT COMMON SENSE WOULD PREVAIL WITH THE INTERPRETATION OF THE NEW RULES
