Alveley won the toss and elected to bowl on a slightly overcast evening with a stiffening not particularly warm breeze. Despite the recent hot and dry weather the ground in good order.

Steve Brigdale and Jon Preston opened the batting for Gas. Scoring was steady despite Jon Preston being out in 3rd over and reached 72 in the eighth over when Steve Brigdale was out for 22 including 5 well struck fours especially through the covers. Wickets fell but the innings was revived by a sprightly knock of 20 from Harry Chatwin to give Gas a final total of 113-5. Alveley bowled steadily and held on to five of six catches offered them including one which resulted in split finger.

By the start of the Alveley innings the weather had turned decidedly chilly with a strong breeze. This did not deter the Alveley openers, Jamie Lawrence and Luke Brant, who settled the match with a stand of 83 in seven overs. Jamie hitting two sixes and a couple of fours in his 40 whilst Luke also include a six in his innings of 35. Alveley comfortably reached their target in the tenth over for the loss of two wickets (114-2).

Man of the Match was declared to be Jamie Lawrence for his bowling of 1-19 and batting 40.
